Building Champions: One Year of Success for Nujoom & BR Swimming Academy in Saudi Arabia
Just over a year ago, the BR Swim Academy was launched with a simple goal: Create opportunities for young swimmers to learn, grow, and compete at the highest level. What began with a brand-new pool at a school that had never had a swimming program has now grown into one of the most exciting swimming communities in Saudi Arabia with multiple swimming academy locations in Jeddah and Riyadh.
This past week, our swimmers took part in the Saudi Swimming Federation’s Western Region Championships in Jeddah, and we couldn’t be prouder of their performances. Across both the boys’ and girls’ events, our swimmers showcased incredible progress, effort, and team spirit — truly living our “1% Better Everyday” philosophy.
A special congratulations to our girls’ team for winning the 9–10 Years Overall Title. This is an outstanding achievement and a proud moment for BR’s first year in the Kingdom.
This milestone is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our swimming coaches, the unwavering support of our partner schools, and the commitment of our swimmers and their families. By building strong foundations through our Learn to Swim program, we’ve been able to organically develop a competitive swim squad structure that continues to produce talented athletes ready to take on the national swimming stage.
In just over a year, BR has proudly grown from a single pool to a program with swimmers competing at national-level swimming events, officially affiliated with the Saudi Swimming Federation. We are especially proud to already have two girls in the national team setup, a remarkable achievement that reflects the quality, consistency, and belief behind our programs.
As we celebrate this success, we remain focused on our vision to keep inspiring the next generation of swimmers in the Western Region and beyond. We are grateful for our team, our partner schools, and the trust of our swim families who continue to make this journey so special.
The future is bright and we’re only just getting started.
